These usually have descriptive names such as " NM Act 2 Q 1-6". To just farm or advance in the campaign, we recommend joining an open lobby. Your friends only have to enter the correct lobby name and password and you're good to go. In this case you can protect the lobby with a password. Creating your own lobby is especially useful if you want to play with friends. You can create your own lobbies as well as join open lobbies. So if you've played Diablo 2 on in the past, you won't have to get used to it. On the PC, the multiplayer is organized in lobbies, as in the 20-year-old original.
Unlike in Diablo 3, however, couch co-op with split screen is not supported. In Diablo 2: Resurrected you can fight cooperatively against monsters as well as let your characters compete against each other in PvP.
